Step 0:

the applicant shall prepare informally his/her STSM application with the host and the Action Chair or the MC STSM coordinator and the Chair of the WG in which the expert belongs to.

Step 1:

the applicant shall submit an online STSM application on the COST Website (https://e-services.cost.eu/stsm>https://e-services.cost.eu/stsm) The application includes some administrative details as well as a budget plan (a fixed grant of up to maximum EUR 2 500 per visit maximum, (comprising travel expenses of up to EUR 300 normally and a daily allowance of up to EUR 90 normally for accommodation and subsistence, to a total not exceeding EUR 2 500 for trips), a work plan and a CV.

Step 2:

once the application completed, the applicant shall submit the application together with any necessary document which the Applicant may regard as helpful in supporting the application at the evaluation process (such as extended CV, full workplan, list of publications, motivation letter, letter of support from the home institute ect), to the host and the Action Chair or the MC STSM coordinator for approval on behalf of the MC.

Step 3:

the applicant shall send to the Grant Holder, at least 4 weeks before the start of the STSM, the STSM application together with the approval from the host and the Action Chair/ MC STSM coordinator (on behalf of the MC).

Step 4:

pending the eligibility of the application, the Grant Holder will send an official invitation to the applicant.

Step 5:

after the completion of the STSM, the application must prepare a report and send the report to the host and the Action Chair/ MC STSM coordinator for approval on behalf of the MC.

Step 6:

pending the approval from the Action Chair/ MC STSM coordinator on behalf of the MC, the Grant Holder will proceed to the payment of the STSM.
